Job summary

A product engineer I role at Aalberts IPSA focuses on supporting valve, backflow, and press connection product lines. You will maintain data, assist with testing and compliance, and help resolve manufacturing issues, collaborating with engineering, quality, and product management teams.

Develop technical knowledge of our products and industry requirements while contributing to the product lifecycle and continual improvements across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 0 to 3 years engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and technical documents.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/PDM or product data management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical inquiries related to product selection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and product interchange.
• Create, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Support engineering change requests and product documentation maintenance.
• Assist with product validation testing, data collection, analysis, and test reporting.
• Support product approvals, certifications, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Investigate returns, NCRs, warranty claims, and field performance concerns.
• Maintain product information within ERP, CAD, and PIM systems.
• Support new part number creation and product lifecycle activities.
• Participate in projects supporting product improvements and cost reduction.
