Job summary

Lancaster Products in Lebanon, PA designs and builds high‑intensity mixers and material handling equipment for manufacturers. We are a small, privately held company delivering customized, engineered‑to‑order machines from prints to running systems.

A Product Engineer will design whole machines in SolidWorks, turn signed contracts into prints, release parts to manufacturing, and support customers through installation, start-up and service. Expect travel about 10% domestically.

Qualifications

• Hands-on 3D CAD design experience; SolidWorks strongly preferred.
• Degree in an engineering discipline, or an associate’s degree with CAD/3D design experience and relevant industry experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for heavy-duty equipment design.
• Comfort on the shop floor explaining designs with the team.
• Ability to drive a project from contract to prints to manufacturing.
• Experience with capital equipment or material handling is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of industrial controls and electrical components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks and produce drawings for shop production.
• Convert negotiated contracts into prints approved by end users and release parts to manufacturing.
• Research and select components from vendors; weigh function vs. cost.
• Support the project through the full lifecycle: build, commissioning, operation, service.
• Answer technical questions from production, sales, and management about BOMs and part numbers.
• Collaborate with customers on installation and interface questions for pre/post-mixer phases.
• Travel ~10% (mostly domestic) to support equipment start-up at customer sites.
