Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Science, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• 2+ years in engineering, product development, or manufacturing.
• Experience with DOE, statistics, and data analysis.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Willingness to work on-site in Spirit Lake, IA and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize fishing line products from concept to production.
• Plan, execute, and coordinate engineering activities for development and commercialization.
• Support Nylon, Fluorocarbon, and Superline product lines through stages of concept to scale-up.
• Evaluate designs, prototypes, and trials for performance and manufacturability.
• Design and run DOE to identify key variables and optimize performance.
• Apply statistics to set specifications and process parameters.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and suppliers.
• Communicate findings and drive projects toward completion.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
