Job summary
Kyyba seeks a Product Engineer - Engine System Cooling to design, develop and validate automotive cooling components across the vehicle development lifecycle. You will collaborate with CAE, design, testing, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.
The role emphasizes packaging, performance, and durability in engine cooling systems, with hands-on development of radiators, fans, and associated components. Auburn Hills, MI-based position.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive product development.
- Experience with engine cooling, thermal management, heat exchangers, coolant systems, HVAC.
- Experience with the complete product development lifecycle - design, development, validation, testing, and launch.
- Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks or similar.
- Knowledge of engineering validation and testing processes.
- Experience with root cause analysis and technical problem solving.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Design, CAE, Testing, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.
- Strong project management, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, validate, and release engine system cooling components across vehicle development stages.
- Lead early packaging and component development to meet cooling requirements.
- Coordinate CAE analysis, design, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- Support development of cooling module assemblies including radiators and electric fans.
- Assist transmission oil coolers, coolant hoses and tubes, electric heaters, valves, and pumps.
- Work with suppliers to ensure DFMEA/DVP&R and monitor milestones.
- Support vehicle assembly and testing, identifying and resolving component issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for technical and quality concerns.
- Support post-launch quality improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain engineering documentation and support DFMEA and DVP&R activities.

We are seeking a Product Engineer - Engine System Cooling to support the design, development, validation, and release of automotive cooling and thermal-management components throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive mechanical product development with hands-on experience in engine cooling, thermal management, heat exchangers, HVAC, coolant systems, or related fluid systems. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination with CAE, design, testing, manufacturing, suppliers, and vehicle assembly teams.
- Design, develop, validate, and release engine system cooling components throughout all stages of vehicle development.
- Lead early packaging and component development to meet cooling and thermal-management functional requirements.
- Coordinate CAE analysis, design, prototyping, testing, and engineering documentation.
- Support development of cooling module assemblies including radiators, condensers, and electric fan assemblies.
- Support development of transmission oil coolers, coolant hoses and tubes, electric coolant heaters, valves, and pumps.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and monitor component development milestones and part maturity.
- Support vehicle assembly and vehicle testing, identifying and resolving component-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for technical and quality concerns.
- Support post-launch quality improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

- Direct experience with engine cooling, thermal management, heat exchangers, coolant systems, HVAC, fluid systems, or automotive cooling components.
- Experience supporting components through the complete product development lifecycle - design, development, validation, testing, and launch.
- Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar.

- Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
