Job summary

Bareinsights is seeking a hands-on product engineer to own features end-to-end on a core API used by thousands of developers. You will build developer-facing product features from idea through production and help shape the developer experience at the heart of our platform.

You should have 3–10+ years shipping developer-facing products, strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js, and hands-on experience with Playwright or Puppeteer. Hybrid work in SF applies.

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years shipping developer-facing products.
• Experience with browser automation, web scraping, or AI-driven web interaction.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, Stagehand, or Chromium internals.
• Owned features end-to-end at a sub-200-person startup — ideally Series A–C — without PM or designer specifications.
• Obsession with developer experience: latency, error clarity, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship developer-facing features from idea to production with minimal overhead.
• Own the reliability and quality of shipped work in a dynamic web environment.
• Turn hard, ambiguous problems into clean, well-designed APIs for developers to build on.
• Collaborate with engineering on roadmap priorities and tradeoffs.
• Incorporate user feedback from issues and docs to drive next iterations.
