Job summary

Clera is seeking a hands-on product engineer to own consumer products end-to-end, from strategy to release. You will design onboarding flows, interfaces, and copy, and build frontend and backend systems using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.

Responsibilities include implementing APIs, data models, authentication, payments, and subscriptions, plus setting up analytics and monitoring to drive engagement. Expect rapid MVP delivery in a startup setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping consumer products end-to-end with live users.
• Startup founding or early product engineering experience with ownership across decisions.
• Strong production experience with TS, React, Next.js, Node.js, APIs, databases and data modeling.
• Experience implementing auth, payments, subscriptions, and deploying live apps.
• Ability to design consumer interfaces and use analytics to drive retention.
• Comfort with AI development tools while preserving architecture and code quality.
• Experience with cross-platform consumer apps and related tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define product positioning, scope features, and MVPs.
• Design onboarding, interfaces, and product copy for consumers.
• Build frontend and backend systems using TS, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Implement APIs, data models, authentication, payments, and subscriptions.
• Set up analytics, experiments, and production monitoring.
• Deploy products, debug production issues, and maintain core functionality.
• Leverage user feedback and retention data to iterate product decisions.
• Ship polished MVPs or large iterations within 3–7 days.
