LER TechForce, LLC. is seeking a Product Engineer Chassis in Dearborn, MI to design, develop, and validate frame components for passenger trucks.

You will lead release engineering for frame parts, apply DFMEA/PFMEA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions. You should have CAD experience (CATIA/3DX), strong problem-solving, and a track record of guiding teams through design reviews.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in frame or structural design and release CAD work (CATIA/3DX).
• Strong CAD modeling, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Design and Release Engineering for Frame, Mounts, Spare Tire Winches, and Tow Hooks.
• Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Engineering Specifications.
• Lead design reviews to meet vehicle attributes and durability goals.
• Resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues; mentor peers.
• Deliver material cost reduction and benchmarking initiatives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time launches.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Engineer to design, develop and validate structural components for passenger trucks and vehicles. Looking for innovative problem solvers with ability to manage complex systems and components, design for efficiency and validate using engineering tools and knowledge. Talent to be able to understand and develop complex systems and balance deliverables to make most cost/weight effective and functional proposals for underbody components. Will be working on Frame; frame mounted structural sheet metal, body isolators, tuned massed dampers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Release Engineering for Frame, Mounts, Spare Tire Winches, and/or Tow Hooks, responsible for forward model development, release, and through launch.
• Absolute focus on delivery of robust designs and failure mode avoidance by applying engineering disciplines including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Perfect Drawing Plan and Engineering Specifications.
• Responsible for overall design leadership to meet vehicle attributes including package, crash, durability, commercial upfitting, and thermal management.
• Responsible to lead, review, and approve, Frame Structure designs to ensure delivery to component ES, and vehicle requirements.
• Responsible to resolve all durability, assembly, and functional issues identified.
• Coach, technical mentor, and guide peer engineers with regular information exchange through Technical Club forums.
• Deliver focused Material Cost Reduction, Warranty reduction, and benchmarking.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• CAD, 3D Modeling, Analytical skills, Application Design.
  
  
  
  • CAD - TCE Vis mockup; CATIA V5/V6, 3DX.
  • 3D Modeling - modeling skills aligned with manipulation of existing CAD models to generate iterative proposals.
  • Analytical skills - understanding of engineering first principles as applied to structural design and interpretation of CAE model outputs.
  • Application Design - Design and Release of built to print and or Ful service supplier content, ensuring the design of record meets design requirements and Our Client's standards.
  
  
• 3 years experience in frames or structures Design and Release CAD Capable (CATIA, 3DX) BS Mechanical Engineering Excellent communication skills, written verbal.
• Ability to lead a team, work with cross functional group.
• 4 days per week in the office.
