Job summary

Liberty Pumps seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support the LEP and Commercial product lines by creating models, drawings, and BOMs, and by maintaining design data and leading small projects in collaboration with the LEP/Commercial engineering team.

You will mentor CAD staff, work with EPDM and PDM systems, stay current with assembly techniques, and contribute to quality, DFMA, and manufacturing process improvements across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology with 2+ years leading product development projects.
• GD&T knowledge and tolerance stack-ups required.
• SolidWorks Certification preferred.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to mentor others in CAD.
• Experience with concurrent engineering, DFMA, and design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Create product models, drawings, and BOMs in SolidWorks, PDM, and Epicor.
• Maintain design data and support LEP/Commercial engineering teams.
• Mentor others in CAD assets and techniques.
• Support quality and manufacturing process improvements.
• Collaborate with CAD team, vendors, and cross-functional teams on design changes.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Applications, and Customer Service for LEP/Commercial products.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related procedures.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the design environment.
• Lead or participate in smaller engineering projects.
