Job summary

Social Discovery Group is seeking a senior engineer to own a complex production system end-to-end, including architecture, reliability, deployment and integrations. You will leverage AI agents (Claude Code, Codex or similar) as your daily development tool and maintain a hands-on, individual contributor role with no management duties.

You will operate in a remote, globally distributed team, with focus on delivering robust systems while staying ahead of agentic development trends and driving tasks

Qualifications

• Senior-level engineering background with end-to-end production system ownership.
• Experience with AI agents (Claude Code, Codex or similar) as a primary tool.
• Strong ownership and entrepreneurial mindset to drive tasks with limited specs.
• Critical eye for AI-generated work and ability to select best solutions.
• Hands-on product work as an individual contributor; no team management.

Responsibilities

• Own a complex production system end-to-end including architecture, reliability, deployment and integrations.
• Use AI agents as daily development tools and stay current with agentic development trends.
• Take initiative to determine what needs to be done and drive tasks to completion.
• Review agents' output critically to catch errors and propose optimal solutions.
• Contribute hands-on product work as an individual contributor.

Your main tasks will be:

• REMOTE OPPORTUNITY to work full-time;
• The initial pay level or pay range for this role will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process and before the commencement of employment;
• Vacation 28 calendar days per year;
• 7 wellness days per year (time off) that can be used to deal with household issues, to lie down and recover without taking sick leave;
• Bonuses up to $5000 for recommending successful applicants for positions in the company;
• 50% payment for professional training, international conferences, and meetings;
• Corporate discount for English lessons;
• Health benefits. According to the paychecks, if you are not eligible for corporate medical insurance, the company will compensate you with up to $ 1,000 gross per year per employee. We expect from you:

• Senior-level engineering background with experience owning a complex production system end-to-end: architecture, reliability, deployment and integrations (backend engineer or software architect)
• AI agents (Claude Code, Codex or similar) as your primary daily development tool, and a habit of keeping up with how agentic development evolves
• Strong ownership and an entrepreneurial mindset: you figure out on your own what needs to be done and drive tasks to results without detailed specifications
• A critical eye for AI-generated work: you quickly dig into agents' output, catch errors and choose the best solution
• A focus on hands‑on product work as an individual contributor; this role does not involve managing a team
