Job summary

Specialized Recruiting Group Quad Cities is seeking a Product Engineer II to design, develop, and improve mechanical products and systems. You will create CAD models, prepare drawings, work with cross-functional teams, and support testing to ensure performance and quality while meeting project deadlines.

This is an onsite position in the Quad Cities area. Candidates must relocate or commute, and remote or hybrid work is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of product design/engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360.
• Strong mechanical design understanding, with proficiency in technical drawings and problem-solving.
• Manufacturing and GD&T experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Support product improvements, engineering changes, and new product development.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and operations teams to ensure product performance and manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Establish and support product testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple engineering projects while meeting deadlines.
• Communicate project status and technical information to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
