Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical, industrial engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in NPI or product launch activities.
  • Experience in manufacturing or operations environments.
  • Experience with engineering documentation, process control, and KPI tracking.
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes (PCBA/SMT) and PLM.
  • Understanding of DFM and cost reduction approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate NPI projects to ensure on-time launch activities and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, IE, PD, SQM, PSE, ATE, FAE, PMC, and MPM.

Job description

The Product Engineer within the NPI MPM Department at Wistron is an individual contributor responsible for supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities from concept through mass production readiness. This role focuses on product launch execution, technical coordination, documentation, and process compliance while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition of products into manufacturing. This position emphasizes technical execution, data analysis, project coordination, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Coordinate NPI projects to ensure on-time execution of product launch activities and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, IE, PD, SQM, PSE, ATE, FAE, PMC, and MPM to support successful product introductions.
  • Manage NPI documentation and project records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
  • Track customer requirements and project milestones, proactively managing risks and action items.
  • Support product qualification, process validation, and manufacturing readiness to ensure smooth production ramp-up.
  • Monitor NPI KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and stakeholder communication, ensuring timely issue resolution and project alignment.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) or product launch activities
  • Manufacturing or operations environments
  • Experience with engineering documentation, process control, and KPI tracking preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Working knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including PCBA/SMT and production workflows.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and manufacturing documentation.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and cost reduction methodologies.
