Job summary

StaffBright is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to drive body structure solutions from concept to production. You will work with OEM engineering teams to influence design, improve manufacturability and efficiency, and develop cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities include CAE/FEA analyses, cross-functional prototype development, and production launch readiness, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product development and design engineering.
• Experience within the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Experience working directly with OEM engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Steel, metal forming, welding, or stamping experience is highly preferred.
• Automotive product launch experience.
• CATIA experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive body structures and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAE/FEA and engineering analyses.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer body structure challenges into tailored blank and advanced material solutions.
• Perform engineering analyses including CAE/FEA, structural assessments, cost evaluations, and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities for prototype development, validation testing, program execution, and production launch readiness.
• Manage multiple vehicle programs and engineering projects while meeting milestones and internal deliverables.
• Prepare technical presentations and communicate engineering recommendations to customers, management, and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEM engineering teams and other industry stakeholders.
• Improve engineering methods, design standards, processes, and engineering best practices.
• Incorporate AI-based approaches to automate engineering processes and support part design and optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team growth and development.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for in-person meetings and manufacturing facilities to support project activities.

We’re looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer to join a growing automotive engineering team and play a key role in developing innovative body structure solutions for leading OEM customers. This position will take projects from concept through production, combining hands-on engineering, CAE/FEA analysis, customer collaboration, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
