Job summary

United Employment Group, Inc. seeks a Project Engineering Lead in Ohio to guide project teams for product and tooling initiatives. You will coordinate resources, ensure schedule adherence, and drive cost objectives while advancing manufacturing methods and tool design.

The role requires SolidWorks proficiency, experience with DA/DFMEA practices, and involvement in ERP modules such as MRO and BOM. You will report on progress and drive continuous improvement across programs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant engineering software.
• Experience with CAD modeling and product/tool design.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project teams for assigned product projects and tooling projects with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate resources, deliverables, and ensure adherence to schedules and cost objectives.
• Lead sustaining engineering on existing products and tooling to improve design, manufacturability, performance, or cost.
• Lead end-of-life process for products selected for obsolescence.
• Coordinate with business units, support services and plant services to meet specifications and forecast requirements.
• Collaborate with tool engineers and tool makers to optimize tool design and part adjustments.
• Use CAD software to develop solid models and detail drawings; maintain CAD systems.
• Prepare ROI analyses for projects as needed.
• Conduct mold flow analysis, FEA simulations, design reviews and functional testing for assigned projects.
• Complete DFMEA’s for projects and significant changes.
• Ensure ERP系统 is properly set up and maintained for modules such as MRO, BOM, Project Manager.
• Take initiative to resolve problems and assess effectiveness after implementation.
• Review drawings for accuracy and applicability from in-house or external sources.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement teams.
• Report regularly on project status.

• Coordinate required resources, satisfy all deliverables, and adhere to established procedures while hitting schedule and cost objectives.
• Lead sustaining engineering projects on existing products and tooling that improve things like design, manufacturability, performance, or cost.
• Lead end-of-life process for products selected for obsolescence.
• Coordinate with the affected business units, support services and plant services to establish the appropriate equipment and manufacturing methods to use to meet product specifications and forecast requirements.
• Work with other tool engineers and tool makers to ensure that any acceptable part design adjustments are implemented to optimize the tool design.
• Use CAD software to develop solid models and detail drawings. Properly maintain CAD system.
• Complete financial analysis/ROI reports as needed for projects.
• Conduct mold flow analysis, FEA simulations, design reviews and functional testing as needed for assigned projects.
• Complete DFMEA’s for projects and/or as needed for significant changes to existing products.
• Ensure ERP system is properly setup and maintained for assigned projects for modules such as MRO, BOM, Project Manager, etc.
• Take initiative to resolve problems once identified and follow up with how effective the resolution was after implementation.
• Review detail drawings created by other sources (in-house or outside design firms) for accuracy and application.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement teams.
• Report regularly on the status of assigned projects.
