Job Details
We are seeking a Product Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of products throughout the product lifecycle. This role works closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering to ensure products meet customer requirements, quality standards, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product designs, engineering changes, and process improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support production, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve efficiency.
- Analyze product performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introductions from concept through production launch.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding technical requirements and product specifications.
- Conduct testing, validation, and engineering evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Participate in cost reduction, continuous improvement, and value engineering initiatives.
- Assist with project planning and execution to meet deadlines and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of GD&T, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, BOM management, and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Experience supporting aerospace, automotive, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
