John Deere in Fuquay Varina, NC is seeking a Product Engineer to join the Turf Care team. You will work in a global cross-functional setting to define specifications and develop solutions for current and future product projects. The role emphasizes CAD, GD&T, and mechanical/hydraulic/powertrain systems, with collaboration across marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management. Qualifications

• 1 or more years of CAD (Solid Modeling) and GD&T
• 1 or more years of mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems
• 1 or more years of product engineering experience in off road commercial vehicles or automotive
• Basic knowledge of PDM and SAP software and systems
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, and drive consensus with multiple different teams simultaneously
• Ability to devolve high level direction into executable tasks

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer for JD Turf Care located in Fuquay Varina, NC, you will:

• Work within a global cross-functional team to define specifications and develop solutions to complicated problems to improve cost, quality and/or performance on future and current product projects
• Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions, rationale, and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document design solutions

What Skills You Need

What Makes You Stand Out

• Utility vehicle and agricultural sprayer experience
• Golf or commercial mowing design experience
• Experience using PTC Creo
• Experience with systems engineering
• Knowledge of FEA, ADV, and stress test procedures
• Experience in SAP
• Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP)

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural). Others may apply.
