Job summary

Maverick Power in Arizona is seeking a Product Engineer to bridge manufacturing and design, focusing on panelboards, switchgear, and BOMs. You will develop drawings, review designs, and support production with DFMA principles to reduce complexity and build time.

About the Role

The Product Engineer will be the liaison between manufacturing and design engineering Knowledge of panelboards switchboards and switchgear creating bills of materials developing drawings seeking alternative components helping production and other engineering related activities Utilize design for manufacturing principles to reduce system complexity and build time Your work will be exciting and varied working on projects which require knowledge of applications electricalelectronics mechanical manufacturing quality and safety Never a dull day and always a challenging problem to solve in a collaborative goal focused environment

Key Responsibilities

• Point of contact between production and engineering troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise
• Support Mavericks manufacturing testing quality and field service teams to ensure proper implementation of designs
• Review mechanical and electrical designs using 3D CAD software for power distribution for correctness and adherence to proper UL Standard
• Provide feedback to design engineers as needed on mechanical and electrical designs
• Work side by side with design engineering team on new product developments
• Support Field Service during installation commissioning and troubleshooting both remotely as well as onsite as required
• Interpret customer bid package drawings electrical one line diagrams plan layouts and specifications
• Support the manufacture of Maverick standard products by reviewing orders drawings and ERP bills of material prior to order release
• Provide technical support for Maverick standard products to both internal and external customers
• Performs other job related duties as necessary or assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School OR Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR Military equivalent for 5 years
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment 2 years minimum
• Experience interpreting electrical schematic drawings
• Strong problem solving & interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with engineering and manufacturing personnel
• Working knowledge of UL 891 UL 67 UL 1558 UL 508A IEEEANSI C37 and NECNFPA 70E standards
• Knowledge of low voltage switchboard UL891 switchgear design UL1558panelboard UL67 installation and use
• Knowledge of local state and federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchgear
• Ability to interpret basic electrical diagrams including front elevation one line and schematic drawings
• Excellent problem resolution skills
• Must comply with all company policies

Physical Requirements
