Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a Product Electrical Engineering Co-op in Muscatine, IA for Summer 2027. You’ll work on hands-on product engineering projects involving forklift systems, CAN communication, and electrical design with mentors and leadership.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, implementing changes, and driving cost reductions while gaining exposure to production support and field issues. This paid co-op emphasizes learning and collaboration in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Degree Programs: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• GPA Requirement: 2.8 Minimum

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, determine solutions, and implement changes to resolve design issues that support production and reduce warranty.
• Work on harnessing, motors & controllers, PCB designs, sensors & encoders, control systems, or electrical-related tasks.
• Complete forklift training and obtain forklift operating license to assist with learning products and testing prototypes.
• Drive investigation and resolution of design issues to keep production running smoothly.
• Drive design changes to decrease product cost.
• Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for warranty returns.
• Review non-conforming material requests for production usability.
• Design new features to meet market requests.
• Reproduce and resolve field issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
