Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. in Massachusetts is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support production through prep of adhesives and QC testing. The role includes evaluating, collecting and reporting data in an electronic laboratory notebook, with calibration and equipment maintenance as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and 3+ years of lab experience, be comfortable handling hazardous chemicals, and be able to stand for extended periods while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Chemist and / or Manager, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:

• Preparation of adhesives and adhesive additives for production
• Perform Quality Control Testing along with testing of adhesives
• Evaluate, collect and record data
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a electronic laboratory notebook
• Data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results / details; calibration and equipment maintenance
• Tests performance characteristics of substrates using established procedures.

Key Must Have’s:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 3 years (or more) of demonstrated laboratory experience
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data
• Comfortable and able to work with hazard chemicals while following safe laboratory practices / protocols
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
