Job summary

System One is seeking a Product Development Lab Technician to support adhesives development and quality control testing in a fast-paced lab environment. This onsite role requires a technical degree and hands-on lab experience.

Contract is 3 months with potential for extension or permanent conversion, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with responsibilities including data entry, calibration, and maintaining lab equipment; safety and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
• Comfortable with hazard chemicals and safe lab practices.
• Ability to stand for most of the day in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare adhesives and adhesive additives for production.
• Perform Quality Control Testing.
• Test adhesives.

• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a electronic laboratory notebook
• Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details
• calibration and equipment maintenance
• Tests performance characteristics of substrates using established procedures
• Lab maintenance

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 3 years (or more) of demonstrated laboratory experience
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data
• Comfortable and able to work with hazard chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day
