Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Full Vehicle Product Development Engineer for our client in Auburn Hills, MI. This contract role focuses on designing and developing new vehicles to meet regulatory and customer requirements, with an emphasis on vehicle architecture, packaging, and system concepts.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of vehicle engineering experience in BIW, Electrical, Interior, or Chassis, and hands-on expertise with TeamCenter, NX CAD, and Vis

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
• Five+ years of vehicle engineering experience in one or more of the following areas: Body-in-White, Electrical, Interior Systems, Powertrain Adaptations, Engine Systems (Cooling, Fuel, Exhaust), or Chassis Systems.
• Expertise in TeamCenter, NX CAD Software & Vis Mockup is demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• The Programs Architect is responsible for designing and developing new vehicles that meet future regulatory requirements and customer competitive requirements.
• Establishing physical and functional integration of vehicle systems and components during the program planning phase (concept to program approval).
• Translating strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements and benchmarking of competitive vehicles.

Akkodis is seeking an Full Vehicle Product Development Engineer for our Contract role with our client in Auburn Hills, MI.

Salary Range: $40 - $46 per hour. (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Type: Contract Role (long term contract)

Job Overview:

The Programs Architect is responsible for designing and developing new vehicles that meet future regulatory requirements and customer competitive requirements. This group is responsible for vehicle architecture, vehicle packaging, initial systems concepts, and component engineering design. In addition, the team resolves packaging and adaptation issues as the vehicles move toward production. The engineer's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, establishing physical and functional integration of vehicle systems and components during the program planning phase (concept to program approval), translating strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements, creating and analyzing alternative design concepts, packaging and integrating systems and components, and benchmarking of competitive vehicles.
