Job summary

Printfresh LLC is seeking a Product Development + Production Coordinator to own the design-side PLM, keep data clean upstream, and support end-to-end production and sourcing. The role sits at the intersection of design, merchandising, sourcing, and operations, translating sketches to production-ready data and ensuring accurate handoffs.

The ideal candidate is organized, data-driven, and eager to learn how garments go from sketch to shelf, with experience in PLM, BOMs, tech packs, and costing

Qualifications

  • Experience in design ops, product data/PLM, or production coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Familiarity with tech packs, BOMs, and textile/garment terminology.
  • Working knowledge of costing concepts (FOB, LDP) and Incoterms.
  • Experience with an ERP/PLM (Fulfil or similar) and e-commerce platforms (Shopify).

Responsibilities

  • PLM & Data Hygiene: Collaborate with the product development team to build the seasonal allocation file and ensure BOM accuracy in PLM.
  • Product Development Support: Maintain the seasonal calendar and track milestones from design handoff to ex-factory.
  • Sourcing & Production Support: Manage vendor communications, quotes, and costing requests; track POs.
  • Reviews, Handoffs & Compliance: Prepare sample reviews and ensure CPSIA labeling/test reports are audit-ready.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise across design, merchandising, sourcing, QA, and logistics to align status.

\u003cp>The Product Development + Production Coordinator owns the design side of PLM including setup, line lists, sample-review prep, data hygiene, and clean handoffs, while supporting the day-to-day mechanics of product development and production sourcing. Sitting at the intersection of design, merchandising, sourcing, and operations, this person keeps product information accurate and locked upstream, then helps move each style from concept through production and delivery. It's an ideal role for someone building an apparel/sleepwear career who is organized, comfortable with data and systems, and eager to learn how a garment goes from sketch to shelf.\u003cp>This role serves as the design-side PLM owner who keeps design data clean upstream.\u003ch3>Mission\u003cp>Keep design data clean and locked upstream so accurate product information flows to every downstream team which includes Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and operations and marketing.\u003ch3>Responsibilities\u003cp>PLM & Data Hygiene: Collaborate with the product development team and design coordinator to build the seasonal allocation file. This includes inputting key details such as final fabric codes, print names, vendor allocations, and retail prices. Reconcile this data with the DC to ensure they can successfully generate a BOM file for each style, facilitating accurate integration into the PLM system.\u003ch3>Product Development Support\u003cul>\u003cli>Development calendar: Maintain the seasonal product development calendar and track key milestones (design handoff, tech-pack completion, sample rounds, PO placement, ex-factory, delivery).\u003cli>Sample tracking: Log and track samples through each stage (proto, fit, SMS, TOP), coordinate inbound/outbound sample shipping, and flag late or missing submissions.\u003cli>Tech packs & BOMs: Coordinate with design coordinators to keep tech packs, bills of materials, and spec sheets updated as revisions come in from design.\u003cli>Material approvals: Coordinate fabric, trim, lab-dip, and strike-off submissions and route them for approval.\u003c/ul>\u003ch3>Sourcing & Production Support\u003cul>\u003cli>Vendor communication: Manage day-to-day vendor correspondence — issue RFQs, chase quotes, and follow up on sample and costing requests.\u003cli>Costing support: Gather FOB and LDP quotes, build and update cost sheets, and track landed-cost components (freight, duty, Incoterms).\u003cli>PO tracking: Track purchase orders from placement through production to ex-factory, monitor work-in-progress, and surface delays early.\u003cli>Supplier database: Maintain supplier contacts, capabilities, and lead times, and keep supplier naming consistent across records.\u003c/ul>\u003ch3>Reviews, Handoffs & Compliance\u003cul>\u003cli>Sample-review prep: Prepare sample reviews so the right information and samples are ready for design decisions.\u003cli>Clean handoffs: Manage handoffs from design downstream and uphold PLM process standards with Sarah and Taila.\u003cli>Compliance documentation: Support compliance and labeling — CPSIA tracking labels and test reports for children’s products, fiber-content and care labeling, and flammability certificates — kept complete and audit-ready ahead of each production run.\u003c/ul>\u003ch3>Cross-Functional Coordination\u003cul>\u003cli>Liaison: Act as connective tissue across design, merchandising, sourcing, QA, and logistics to keep everyone aligned on status.\u003cli>Standards & rollout: Partner with design, production, and systems stakeholders on PLM rollout and standards.\u003cli>Meeting prep: Prepare materials for vendor meetings, sourcing trips, and seasonal line reviews.\u003c/ul>\u003ch3>Experience & Requirements\u003cul>\u003cli>Experience in design ops, product data/PLM, or product-development / production coordination (internships count toward early-career experience).\u003cli>Strong organizational skills and meticulous, detail-obsessed attention to accuracy.\u003cli>Excellent data-hygiene mindset; process-driven and comfortable setting and holding standards.\u003cli>Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and the ability to learn new systems quickly.\u003cli>Clear written and verbal communication; able to manage many open threads at once across functions.\u003cli>PLM experience (setup/admin a strong plus).\u003cli>Familiarity with tech packs, BOMs, and textile/garment terminology.\u003cli>Working knowledge of costing concepts (FOB, LDP, IMU) and Incoterms.\u003cli>Experience with an ERP/PLM (Fulfil or similar) and e-commerce platforms (Shopify).\u003cli>Exposure to product compliance (CPSIA, FTC labeling, flammability standards), especially for children’s or sleepwear categories.\u003c/ul>\u003ch3>What We Offer\u003cul>\u003cli>Health and dental insurance\u003cli>PTO and paid holidays\u003cli>401(k) with company match\u003cli>Employee discount on all Printfresh products\u003c/ul>\u003ch3>About Our Culture\u003cp>At Printfresh, we celebrate creativity, sustainability, and a customer-first mindset.
