Job summary

Stock Executive Search is seeking a Product Development Manager to drive new product introductions in electric kitchen categories. You will oversee the lifecycle from concept to production, coordinating with suppliers in China/India and domestically, and collaborating with customers, sales, design, production, licensing, and senior management on a daily basis.

You will manage costing with international suppliers and analyze retail strategies against in-store competition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years of professional product development experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Daily use of internal PDM system for products ordered.
• Understand industry, consumer and category trends.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and client.

Responsibilities

• Add new products to assigned categories (licensed or in house brands).
• Oversee the product lifecycle from start to finish.
• Work with China, India and/or domestically to source products in various categories.
• Manage and approve all samples for production with team collectively.
• Get initial costing from China, and understand retails based on existing product or in store competitive shopping.
• Work closely with Customers, Sales, Design, Production, Licensing Coordinator and Senior Management on a daily basis.
• Ability to multi-task on various projects under strict timelines.
• Be required to competitive shop for inspiration and conduct product analysis.
• Work independently and/or in unison with peers.
• May be required to travel overseas.
• Attend and prepare for the International Housewares Show (IHA) in Chicago, IL.
