Product Development Lead – Women’s Ready-to-Wear

Job summary

SAME is a Los Angeles-based luxury fashion label seeking a Product Development Manager to own the end-to-end development process for women’s Ready-to-Wear collections. You will partner with Design, Technical Design, Sourcing, Production, and external vendors to translate creative direction into production-ready products.

You will drive seasonal development from kickoff through SMS, ensuring BOMs, samples, approvals, and timelines are accurate and complete at every stage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive apparel product development experience.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, apparel development processes, and manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience managing product from initial development through prototypes, SMS, and production handoff.
• Strong understanding of BOM creation and maintenance and the information required for Technical Design and Production.
• Experience working directly with domestic and international vendors, factories, mills, and sourcing partners.
• Strong seasonal calendar and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving ability.
• Experience working within PLM or comparable product lifecycle management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development for women’s Ready-to-Wear from concept to production handoff.
• Collaborate with Design to align with seasonal direction, fabrics, trims, and construction details.
• Track development milestones and manage timing, quality, cost, and execution risks.
• Coordinate with Design, Technical Design, and Production to ensure successful handoff and QA of samples.
