Senior Product Development Lead — Luxury Ready-to-Wear

Job summary

SAME, a Los Angeles-based luxury fashion label, is seeking a Product Development Manager to own the end-to-end development of women’s Ready-to-Wear from concept through SMS and production handoff.

You will partner with Design, Technical Design, Sourcing, and Production to translate creative direction into production-ready products, manage BOMs, and proactively mitigate development risks while protecting design intent and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in apparel product development, luxury or contemporary women's Ready-to-Wear.
• Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing.
• Experience managing product from concept to SMS and production handoff.
• Proficient in BOM creation and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience working with domestic and international vendors and factories.
• Strong calendar and project-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of women's Ready-to-Wear from concept to production handoff.
• Partner with Design to translate seasonal direction into executable products.
• Manage prototype development, SMS, and timely approvals with vendors.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, materials, trims, and development information.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and escalate risks to keep milestones on track.
• Provide clear production handoffs and documentation for Technical Design.
