Job summary

Arcadia Custom in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead product development, engineering, and manufacturing improvements across aluminum window and door lines. You will work with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to develop and commercialize new products and improve existing ones.

You will provide hands‑on technical and managerial leadership across the lifecycle, establishing structured processes, solving technical challenges, and owning the product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering, product development, manufacturing, or related technical environment.
• Experience with structured product development processes such as Stage‑Gate, NPD, or NPI.
• Experience developing, implementing, or improving product development, engineering, manufacturing, or quality processes.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, product quality, and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, risk assessment, and problem‑solving methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, including travel to Tucson, AZ and Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and engineering activities across the division, from concept through production.
• Lead aluminum extrusion design and development for window and door systems with profile design and thermal break integration.
• Lead glazing/IGU integration and hardware integration (locking, hinging, rolling) for performance.
• Plan and manage fenestration testing and certification (NFRC, AAMA/WDMA/CSA102, ASTM tests, energy codes).
• Manage New Product Development and New Product Introduction to meet quality, cost, timing, and manufacturability.
• Establish and maintain structured product development processes (Stage‑Gate, design reviews, risk assessments, milestones).
• Lead product and process improvement initiatives focused on manufacturability, efficiency, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Operations to identify production challenges and improve throughput.
• Own development of product roadmap aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for product innovation and continuous improvement.
