Job summary

System One is seeking a Lab Technician for an onsite, contract assignment in Quincy, MA. Workdays run on a two-week rotating schedule with 6am-6pm shifts, focusing on operating and maintaining analytical equipment and performing routine analyses.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong computer skills, and 1–2 years in a lab setting, with excellent teamwork and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude in computer systems and software.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation.
• Minimum 1 year, prefers 2+ years of analytical laboratory experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, and perform basic maintenance on analytical equipment including GCs, auto titrators, spectrophotometers, refractive index meters, pH meters, balances, and other lab equipment.
• Perform routine analyses such as IV, AV, GC, moisture, color, FFA, insolubles, heat stability, and others.
• Use and handle laboratory chemicals safely, understanding hazards and proper MSDS procedures.
• Maintain analytical documentation, including SQC, Certificate of Analysis (COA), logs, and records.
• Complete equipment maintenance logs and records.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Operate and maintain all refinery and laboratory analytical equipment safely.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and appearance in labs, work areas, and designated areas.
• Perform other duties as requested or required.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
