Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Product Development Engineering Intern to support the Product Development team in coordinating projects aimed at improving proprietary products and sourcing new proprietary or custom business. You will work under supervision with a Product Development Engineer/Manager/Director, coordinating tasks and leading trials as needed.

You will interact with multidisciplinary teams, acquire quotes for tooling, help determine costs, and develop drawings, models, and prototypes for

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing an Engineering degree, preferably at sophomore/junior/senior level.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and assertive individual.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects with Product Development team and assist in the improvement of proprietary products or new proprietary or custom business.
• Interact with multidisciplinary teams and organize trials as needed.
• Assist in obtaining quotes for tooling or modifications to proprietary tooling.
• Help determine costs on custom and proprietary projects.
• Develop and update part drawings and tooling prints.
• Create models and prototypes of parts for customers.
• Assist in designing prototype tooling and evaluating parts.
