Base pay range: $94,000.00/yr - $123,000.00/yr

Location

Stone Mountain, GA (In-office Monday-Thursday, remote on Fridays)

Role Overview

As a Product Development Engineer III, you will design and develop commercial refrigeration equipment, support production, conduct product investigations, and implement testing procedures. Responsibilities include sizing components, designing piping systems, and qualifying equipment for certifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop advanced mechanical design methods and research techniques.
2. Coordinate between lab and engineering teams, lead testing challenges.
3. Manage projects, review literature and patents, and document best practices.
4. Utilize engineering tools, interpret standards, and select components.
5. Create testing plans and collaborate with lab personnel.
6. Communicate with customers to understand and translate requirements.
7. Travel 5-10%.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Refrigeration/HVAC design and development.
• Knowledge of design techniques, testing, and certification processes.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work with suppliers and teams.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical control systems and SAP/CAD is a plus.
