Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking a Product Development Engineer II in Minnesota to lead design enhancements and product line extensions within the Clad Windows business unit. You will translate requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions with minimal supervision and identify design risks early in the development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 3–7 years of engineering experience in a product development environment
• Experience as a design engineer on a cross-functional engineering team
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and technical execution
• Experience delivering products from ideation through commercialization using a gated design review process
• Experience leveraging risk-based tools/processes i.e., FMEA, THANice to Have

Responsibilities

• Lead design enhancements and product line extensions within assigned platforms
• Translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions with minimal supervision
• Proactively identify design risks and drive mitigation strategies early in the development process
• Analyze engineering data to support design decisions
• Develop and execute validation plans, including testing, DOE, and capability studies
• Create and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business viability to varied audiences
