Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport, MN is seeking a New Product Development Leader to guide the 100 Series Windows RD&I efforts. You will supervise design engineers and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that support revenue growth and margin targets.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5–7 years of engineering management, strong communication, and project-management skills. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of engineering management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Passion for leading and developing a high-performance team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies with demonstrated ability to manage the critical path and drive projects to completion.
• Knowledge of mechanical design methodologies and product documentation methods including product data.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and work direction to the engineering team.
• Partners cross-functionally to define engineering project requirements and success criteria.
• Actively reviews, monitors, and ensures required engineering deliverables are complete on time.
• Ensures that engineering solutions meet project requirements in terms of functionality, durability, human centric design, quality levels, and unit product cost.
• Identifies and drives efficiencies in project execution.
• Proactively partners with project leaders on engineering risk identification and management.
• Acts as a liaison between the New Product Development Team and the Enterprise RD&I function coordinating timelines and deliverables.
• Develops and manages expense budgets.
• Participates in project team meetings and reviews.
