Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Product Development Engineer 1 for a 12-month contract, 40 hours per week on the 1st shift.

This role supports design and development activities for new and existing medical devices, with a W2 contract arrangement. You will translate customer needs into technical requirements, assist with testing and verification, ensure compliance with quality policies, and contribute to cost improvements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering is required (Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred).
• 0-3 years of engineering experience is required, preferably in medical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.
• Provide solid technical skill and engineering support for design and development activities for new and existing products.

Responsibilities

• Provide solid technical skill and engineering support for design and development activities for new and existing products.
• Support current products in terms of quality, manufacturing, supply continuity and cost improvement.
• Participate in executing technical and/or cross-functional project work and generate novel concepts for new products and enhancements to current product performance.
• Translate customer needs into engineering requirements into product specifications.
• Engineer robust and manufacturable products through engineering fundamentals.
• Develop and execute test methods including measurement equipment, setup, and data analysis.
• Write detailed technical reports based on design verification analysis/testing for design changes and product design activities.
• Ensure compliance with client quality policies and all safety regulations.
