Job summary

Henkel is hiring a Senior Process Engineer for our Adhesive Technologies unit in the United States. The role is onsite in Rancho Dominguez, CA, with up to 10% travel and 5 days per week in the office.

You will support R&D for thermally conductive silicone-free composites for eMobility and automotive electronics, developing formulations, data packages and specifications while ensuring lab safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 2+ years in R&D.
• Knowledge of polymer science incl. structure–property relationships, rheology, and adhesive mechanics.
• Technical knowledge in adhesive chemistries, composite materials, polymer network physics, and resin cure chemistry.
• Familiarity with product development processes such as stage-gate reviews and project initiation.
• Knowledge of MS Office, LabVIEW, AutoCAD or solid drawing programs and other common statistical analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D for new product introductions of thermally conductive silicone free composites for eMobility and automotive electronics.
• Conduct adhesive formulations and surface treatment applications for new thermal interface products.
• Support multiple development projects from initiation through hand-off to manufacturing scale-up.
• Translate customer and market feedback into technical specs and data packages.
• Generate intellectual property through patents, trade secrets, and formulation know-how.
• Contribute to a safe lab culture by following safety procedures.
