Job Summary:

Our client is a market leader and manufacturer of high-performance cooling products for use in the aerospace, military, alternative energy and medical markets. Our continued growth has created an immediate opening for a Senior Product Development Engineer. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills who can work on project teams to win new business, develop new products and review engineering drawings & documentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Conceptual design. Development of new products.
2. Review of customer and industry specifications.
3. Review and approve drawing packages, conduct analyses versus customer requirements, manufacturing methods, GD&T, and cost.
4. Generate and maintain high quality documentation.
5. Product Support Engineer for the life of the product.
6. Develop new and improve existing product manufacturing processes (tooling, routings/process sheets, and work instructions).
7. Lead design and development of machining, brazing, welding, testing, and other fixtures.
8. Work with subject matter experts in machining, brazing, heat treating and welding to implement processes that meet customer requirements and cost/quality goals.
9. Ensure on time delivery of new products through timely documentation release and factory floor support.
10. Control manufacturing costs by employing effective manufacturing methods and fixtures.
11. Lead/conduct process failure analyses to determine root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
12. Lead/participate teams in cost reductions efforts.
13. Research, design and develop more efficient workflows, methods, and equipment.
14. Lead/participate in multifunctional project teams.
15. Lead/participate in R&D projects.
16. Mentor other engineers and designers.

• 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with NPI, design, and manufacturing.
• Direct experience in machining, tooling, brazing, and/or GTAW welded assemblies.
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• SolidWorks, MRP Software/Oracle, MRB.
• Familiarity with military and aerospace specifications, ASME 14.100, ASME 14.500, AS9100, and Six Sigma.
