Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead end-to-end automotive product development, from concept through production, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to meet performance, quality, timing, and cost goals.

You will drive design, validation, testing, and release activities, coordinate APQP/PPAP, and maintain engineering documentation. A Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 3+ years in automotive development are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 3+ years of automotive product development experience.
• Experience or exposure with engine calibration and validation.
• Knowledge of FMEA, product development processes, validation planning, and testing at component and engine level.
• Experience working directly with customers and leading technical discussions.

Responsibilities

Your role

• Lead end-to-end product development programs from early concept and customer bidding activities through product development, validation, launch, and production
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers throughout the product development lifecycle
• Drive design, product matching, simulation, development, validation, testing, and release activities
• Ensure products meet all performance, quality, durability, reliability, cost, and timing requirements
• Coordinate APQP activities and support PPAP submissions, approvals, and engineering changes
• Investigate technical and quality-related issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including 2D drawings, 3D models, specifications, and technical reports

Your profile
