What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field preferred)
• 3-5 years in product development or design engineering, preferably in automotive components
• Proficiency in Catia CAD design
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Strong understanding of materials and structural design

What Your Role Will Look Like:

• Lead the design and development of drive shafts and half shafts for assigned customers
• Manage project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery and quality
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate and sustain supplier capabilities
• Prepare and review design deliverables with a focus on cost efficiency and customer requirements
• Oversee engineering change management, ensuring accurate documentation and approvals
• Interpret customer specifications and translate them into optimized product designs
• Conduct design verification tests and calculations to meet performance and quality standards
• Develop and maintain Design Verification Plans and Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
• Create and update Bill of Materials for prototype and production phases
• Lead problem-solving efforts to address design and performance concerns
