Job summary

Hanon Systems in Novi, MI is seeking a design engineering professional to develop and test automotive A/C compressors and sub‑components. You will create 3D models for prototypes and production, and release 2D drawings with detailed specifications.

The role requires strong background in component design, solid mechanics, and CAE tools, plus the ability to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams globally. Excellent communication and self‑driven work style are essential.

• Prior exposure to drafting/drawing/CAD tools.
• Experience with CAE tools (FEA, CFD, Kinematic tools).

Responsibilities

• Develop and sign-off prototype/production 3D component & assembly models.
• Release prototype/production 2D component & assembly drawings.
• Develop/author engineering specifications and reports.
• Set up and run development tests. Interpret test results and develop corrective actions.
• Interface with suppliers as required.
• Provide direction to suppliers as required.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials.
