Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) Limited is seeking a Product Development Engineer in the Los Angeles area. You will evaluate new hardware opportunities, combining practical engineering knowledge with commercial thinking to determine what can be designed, manufactured, tested and delivered.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and test engineering teams to develop practical solutions and support proposals, cost estimates and bid decisions for new business opportunities.

Competenze

• 3+ years of hands-on Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Product or Mechatronics Engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building, testing or troubleshooting physical hardware.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, materials and engineering specifications.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, product development and engineering feasibility.
• Strong technical problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

The Product Development Engineer will evaluate new hardware opportunities, combining practical engineering knowledge with commercial thinking to determine what can be designed, manufactured, tested and successfully delivered.

As the Product Development Engineer your responsibilities will include

• Reviewing engineering drawings, GD&T, assemblies, materials and technical specifications
• Evaluating product design, manufacturing feasibility, testing requirements and technical risks
• Investigating existing hardware to identify redesign, improvement and manufacturing opportunities
• Working across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and test engineering to develop practical solutions
• Supporting technical proposals, cost assessments and bid/no-bid decisions for new business opportunities

As the Product Development Engineer you will bring
