The company specialises in the design, engineering and manufacture of complex, precision-engineered components for the aerospace, space and defense industries.

This is a hands‑on engineering role where you will take ownership of manufacturing processes for flight‑critical aerospace components, supporting production from initial planning and new product introduction through to ongoing manufacturing improvements.

Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for developing manufacturing plans, creating CAD models, troubleshooting production challenges and improving manufacturing efficiency, quality and overall process performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed manufacturing plans for aerospace components in line with customer drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.

  • Create CAD models and detailed operation sheets using GD&T principles.

  • Support new product introduction (NPI), developing manufacturing processes for new aerospace components.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across CNC milling, turning and grinding operations.

  • Support special manufacturing processes, including heat treatment, polishing, deburring, shot peening and plating.

  • Investigate manufacturing non-conformances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, assembly tooling and gauging solutions.

  • Review manufacturing and inspection data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap and minimise rework.

  • Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive improvements across manufacturing processes.

  • Ensure manufacturing activities comply with customer specifications, quality requirements and safety standards.

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 5–10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, ideally within aerospace manufacturing.

  • Previous experience working with flight‑critical or precision aerospace components would be advantageous.

  • Strong experience using Siemens NX CAD software (NX 9 or later).

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.

  • Experience working with detailed aerospace customer specifications.

  • Previous experience introducing new aerospace products into manufacturing.

  • Strong technical understanding of CNC milling, turning and grinding processes.

  • Experience working with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminium and titanium.

  • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.
