About The Role

As a Product Development Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a critical role designing the control systems that power Aegis automation platforms. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle—from concept through release—partnering closely with controls, mechanical, and field teams.

This role is open across Levels I–III, with responsibilities and scope scaling based on your experience.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop industrial electrical control panels from concept through release
• Own electrical panel architecture (power distribution, control circuits, safety systems, network interfaces)
• Create and maintain documentation (schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs) with strong revision control
• Select and size components (VFDs, breakers, motor starters, PLC I/O, safety devices)
• Ensure compliance with NEC, UL 508A, NFPA 79, and customer requirements
• Support fabrication, commissioning, and troubleshooting—including live system diagnostics
• Partner cross‑functionally to ensure seamless system integration
• Participate in design reviews and proactively identify and mitigate risks
• Champion a strong safety culture in every project

Requirements

• Level I: 0–2 years (hands‑on design with mentorship)
• Level II: 3–7 years (independent project ownership)
• Level III: 8+ years (technical leadership & cross‑functional influence)

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience with industrial electrical control panel design (aligned to level)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
• Knowledge of NEC, UL 508A, and NFPA 79
• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial environments
• Solid understanding of components such as VFDs, motor starters, circuit protection, and PLC I/O
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
