Job description

In this role, you'll design, develop, and validate industrial electrical control systems that power innovative automation platforms. You'll work at the intersection of hardware, controls, and system integration, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are robust, scalable, and built to perform in real-world environments.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced controls or electrical engineer who thrives in R&D environments, enjoys solving non-standard problems, and wants to influence the future of industrial automation.

What you will do
  • Design and develop industrial electrical control panels for material-handling systems—from concept through release
  • Own panel architecture, including power distribution, control and safety circuits, grounding, and network interfaces
  • Create and maintain complete electrical documentation packages (schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, I/O diagrams, BOMs) with disciplined revision control
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, UL 508A, NFPA 79, and customer specifications
  • Size and select electrical components including breakers, motor starters, VFDs, power supplies, safety devices, PLC I/O, and protective components
  • Collaborate with controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure seamless system integration
  • Support panel fabrication, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting—including safe diagnosis of live industrial panels when required
  • Lead and participate in technical design reviews, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and design approaches for future product platforms
  • Provide technical mentorship and design guidance to other engineers, helping elevate engineering standards across the team
