Job summary

Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco, CA, is hiring a Product Developer to manage all product development, costing and sourcing activities from proto samples to manufacturing-ready packages.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, align with innovation goals and supply chain strategies, and drive GTM calendar activities to meet dates. The role is hybrid with in-office presence required three days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Apparel preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of apparel production and/or product development experience.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fabrications.
• Strong project management with ability to manage complex spreadsheets and data reports.
• Ability to pull reports from multiple data sources and make data-driven decisions.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities and collaborate with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Product Development, Costing, and Sourcing activities.
• Oversee Development/Proto samples through final manufacturing-ready packaging.
• Lead GTM Calendar PD activities across all development phases to hit dates.
• Lead seasonal Costing activities and negotiate prices to align with FOB targets.
• Manage finish approvals from Development to Pre-Production to Bulk Shade Bands.
• Support execution of Sourcing Strategies.
• Partner with Supply Planning and Field Teams to meet first-cut dates across locations.
• Help resolve quality issues.

About the Job

• Manage all Product Development, Costing, and Sourcing activities.
• These activities range from Development/Proto samples to final manufacturing ready package.
• You are following Innovation Goals, Supply Chain Strategies, and requirements for Cost, Quality, and Terms of Engagement.
• Build all GTM Calendar PD activities and hold accountable across all phases of development to ensure we meet dates.
• Lead seasonal Costing activities; gather and negotiate all prices and align to FOB target.
• Manage Finish approvals from Development to Pre-Production to Bulk Shade Bands.
• Support execution of Sourcing Strategies.
• Partner with Supply Planning and Field Teams to ensure all Pre-Production activities are on track to meet the scheduled first cut dates at all production locations.
• Help resolve Quality issues.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree in Textile / Apparel Industry Field preferred, however a candidate may use a combination of college education and related work experience as a substitute.
• Minimum of 5 years of Apparel Production and/or Product Development experience.
• Knowledge of garment construction and a variety of fabrications.
• Project management abilities with systems knowledge Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
• Pull together reports from multiple sources of data and then make decisions based on the results of those reports. (At minimum, will work proficiency with pivot, v-lookups, create formulas).
• Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities.
• Experience working directly with senior level directors.

This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $92,300 - $110,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
