NICOLEHOLLIS, an award-winning, large-sized Interior Design firm, seeks a talented and motivated Product Designer. The Product Designer is crucial for developing the inaugural home collection for NICOLEHOLLIS by establishing the scope of the consumer-facing product line, designing new products to meet customer needs, and maintaining brand integrity. This is a unique opportunity to join an established and beloved brand at a critical stage, with potential for future growth.

The Product Designer will be responsible for concept development, sketching, creating detailed technical drawings, collaborating with makers to ensure smooth production, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, up-to-date on market trends and customer preferences, with knowledge of the product development process of luxury furniture, accessories, and art. They should enjoy working in a collaborative, diverse team working on various home decor products.

We seek someone passionate about design, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. To succeed, you should have a portfolio of relevant projects and experience in product design.

This role is based in San Francisco, requiring WFO 4 days a week, with 1 day optional WFH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay current with trends and customer preferences.
  • Create innovative luxury products (accessories, decor, soft goods, furniture) aligned with our brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design goals.
  • Develop sketches and technical drawings.
  • Work with makers/artists to ensure accurate production.
  • Conduct product testing and quality assurance.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback.
  • Manage the product development process from concept to launch.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio.
  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design or related field.
  • Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and high energy.
  • Good taste and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure during high-profile launches.
