Job summary

Ellevation Education is expanding its Product Design team to evolve from point solutions into an integrated ELD platform. The Product Designer II will work with cross-functional teams to understand user problems and craft cohesive, scalable experiences, leveraging Backpack to ensure consistency across the product.

You will prototype with AI tools, contribute to design-system-driven workflows, and advocate for accessibility and outcomes. Boston-area role with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated success as a cross-functional designer in a B2B SaaS or adjacent environment.
• AI-fluent — using LLM-assisted prototyping to accelerate ideation and validation, freeing you to focus on craft and systems thinking.
• Design with accessibility as a first-class constraint, building it into your process from the start.
• Accountable to outcomes, not just output. You run experiments, learn from what ships, and measure success by whether the product changes behavior.
• You go to the source. You\'ve conducted user research and usability testing in the field, and you bring the team along—synthesizing insights so the whole squad can design from evidence, not assumptions.
• You seek feedback and confront hard truths. Craft is a practice, not a credential—you iterate with users, engineers, and data.
• You bring diverse perspectives into your process and design with empathy for users unlike yourself.
• You think in systems, creating coherent experiences across workflows rather than isolated features.
• You bring people along. You articulate tradeoffs clearly, engage actively in critique, and contribute to a culture of design excellence.

Responsibilities
