Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Product Designer to shape the next generation of our platform. You will join a small design team with ownership and craft, working across the Baseten product to solve hard problems for technical users.

This role covers the full arc from early exploration through production. You will establish patterns, evolve our design system, and raise the quality bar as we scale.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrates strong visual and interaction design.
• Experience designing complex, technical, or developer-focused products.
• Ability to take ambiguous problems and drive to strong solutions.
• Deep attention to typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction, and systems.
• Experience working directly with engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design end to end, including research, product definition, prototypes, design reviews, specs, and final implementation.
• Work with engineering and product to frame problems and ship solutions quickly.
• Collaborate with customers to understand workflows and test prototypes.
• Improve visual and interaction quality across Baseten product surfaces.
• Create interactions that make complex workflows clear, fast, and polished.
• Evolve the design system and scale patterns across the product.
• Look for opportunities to improve consistency and usability.
• Collaborate with engineers to polish UI and ensure shipped experiences match design.
