Surgo Health is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the Derin v2 client interface and analytics platform. You will shape the design vision, craft flows and high-fidelity interfaces, and ship iterative releases with product and engineering partners.

The role

Derin is a behavioral science-backed, AI-powered adaptive research platform built for healthcare. It conducts in-depth interviews at scale to reveal the "why" behind health decisions, turning natural conversations into behavioral insight that clients can act on. Derin v1 is live; the company is now building v2. This role is the first dedicated Product Designer for Derin, responsible for owning the client interface end to end. You would work closely with product, engineering, data science, and behavioral science, and speak directly with clients. There is room to grow the design function as Derin scales.

What you would do

You would lead the end-to-end design of the Derin v2 client interface, with particular focus on the client analytics platform. You would set the product's design vision and translate it into flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes. You would partner with product and engineering to scope, sequence, and ship v2 in iterative releases.

On the data visualization side, you would design dashboards, charts, and reporting views that distill thousands of AI-led conversations into clear, decision-ready insight. You would create intuitive ways to explore layered data including themes, behavioral segments, quotes, quantitative results, and drill-downs to source transcripts. You would design visual cues that make AI-generated output understandable and trustworthy, including how confidence, evidence, and the link between a finding and what people said are communicated. You would work with data science and behavioral science to ensure every visual is accurate, not just attractive.

You would also build and maintain a scalable design system and component library for Derin, including patterns for data visualization. You would champion accessibility, consistency, and quality across the product, and bring design thinking to the wider team to help shape how Surgo presents data across products, sales materials, and client deliverables.

What they are looking for

• 5+ years designing complex B2B or SaaS products, with a portfolio showing shipped work and the thinking behind it. Experience in health tech, research tools, analytics, or AI products is strongly preferred.
• Strong data visualization skills, including knowing when a chart helps and when it hurts, and a track record of designing dashboards or reporting tools that people rely on. Experience taking a v1 product to a v2 that users love, ideally including a significant redesign. Rigorous about accuracy, with a habit of noticing when a visual overstates a finding and pushing back on anything that could mislead.
• Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, with a solid understanding of how designs get built and how to work well with engineers. Experience designing for AI products, including how to present generated content, uncertainty, and evidence in ways users trust.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining design decisions to clients, engineers, scientists, and executives.
• Comfort working iteratively with subject-matter experts in research, data science, and behavioral science.

Working arrangements

The role is fully remote, based in Istanbul, Turkey. You would work closely with the team in Washington, DC and the UK, with regular overlap with US Eastern Time working hours. Occasional travel is required, including to the Washington, DC office. Professional fluency in English is required.
