Job summary

Menlo Security is expanding data-centric protection across its browser security platform and is hiring a Product Designer to own the end-to-end user experience for this vertical, partnering with product management and engineering to design admin-facing policy controls, end-user file interaction flows, and risk surfaces that make complex data protection decisions feel simple and trustworthy.

This is a high-ownership role on a small design team using AI-assisted research synthesis and prototyping

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product design experience in B2B or enterprise applications.
• Experience designing for technical or admin audiences — policy builders, rules engines, dashboards, or configuration-heavy interfaces.
• A portfolio that shows complex, rules-based systems simplified into usable interfaces.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design system workflows.
• Working fluency with AI-assisted design tools and the judgment to validate outputs before informing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for data security features: DLP policy configuration, file scanning and sanitization flows, alerts, and remediation workflows.
• Translate complex security and compliance logic into admin experiences configurable without being overwhelming.
• Design interaction patterns that make AI/ML-driven classification decisions legible, with explanations and risk indicators.
• Create end-user moments—file download warnings, redaction previews, access requests—balancing security with productivity.
• Collaborate with PM and engineering to scope features, run discovery with customers and admins, and iterate using AI-assisted synthesis of feedback.
• Extend the design system with security-specific patterns and prototyping tools to explore variations quickly.
• Mentor designers and help set craft standards, including responsible AI tool usage.
