Job summary

Menlo Security in Mountain View, CA is hiring a Product Designer to own the end-to-end user experience for data and file security surfaces, working with product management and engineering to design admin-facing controls, end-user file interactions, and risk surfaces.

You'll shape AI-assisted research, design systems, and mentor teammates, translating complex security rules into usable configurations for admins and users alike. This is a high-ownership role on a small team with enterprise impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product design experience in B2B or enterprise apps.
• Experience designing for technical/admin audiences such as policy builders, rules engines, dashboards.
• Portfolio showing complex, rules-based systems simplified for usability.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design system workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for data security and file security features: DLP policy configuration, file scanning and sanitization flows, alerts, and remediation workflows.
• Translate complex security and compliance logic into admin experiences that are configurable but not overwhelming.
• Design interactions that make AI/ML-driven classification legible, with explanations and review/override paths.
• Create end-user moments like file download warnings and access requests that balance security with productivity.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to scope features, run discovery, and iterate with AI-assisted insights.
• Extend the design system with security-specific patterns and prototyping tools.
