Product Designer (Loyalty)

Our client specializes in delivering retail excellence along every aspect of the customer journey, driven through technology. Their mission focuses on crafting intuitive, easy-to-use products that span across their business. We are looking for a new team member who can enable human-centered practices that inspire, innovate, and deliver elevated experiences for our customers and products.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will work closely with other product designers, product managers, and software engineers to deliver product experiences rooted in human-centered principles that support strategic priorities, focused on our loyalty awards program across mobile and web.

You will be an active participant and expert facilitator in the organization and delivery of high-quality products enabled through a lean product development process, including:

1. Team Forming: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business partners to align on purpose and processes. Advocate for human-centered design and influence HCD practices outside your immediate team.
2. Evidence & Risk: Use design maturity to avoid extensive research, understanding the level of evidence needed based on risk.
3. Discovery: Employ problem-solving frameworks, mixed-methods research, and validation techniques like prototypes and A/B tests.
4. Data-Driven: Leverage data insights to inform decisions.
5. Development: Support the end-to-end experience delivery, utilizing Homefield, our design system.
6. Feedback: Gather and activate user feedback to refine products.
7. Leadership: Mentor junior designers and collaborate with managers on leadership development paths.

Job Duties & Responsibilities include coaching team members, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, research, data analysis, storytelling, trend analysis, partnership building, UI design, and participation in sprint planning.

Qualifications include advanced product design knowledge, B2C experience (preferably in retail/loyalty programs), a lean, experimental mindset, strong communication skills, facilitation and collaboration abilities, a customer-centric approach, proficiency in research methods, understanding of software development, influence without authority, and a portfolio demonstrating human-centered design.

Compensation: $50 - $67.56/hour on W-2
