Job summary

Pylon seeks a design-focused professional to join its San Francisco team, collaborating with cofounders, PMs, and engineers to shape features from concept to high-fidelity prototypes. You will own the end-to-end design process, from user flows to design system evolution, working closely with cross-functional partners.

In this role you will iterate rapidly, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and validate decisions using analytics to drive impactful product experiences at Pylon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional design experience with a focus on product design
• Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco for in-person work
• Highly organized, hardworking, and fast-paced
• Curiosity to tinker with the product and propose improvements

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering throughout a project (no waterfall)
• Hand off designs to engineering within the first 7 days
• Develop and iterate on broad user flows for new features
• Create high-fidelity mocks and refine UI/UX details
• Build and evolve the design system with teammates and engineers

What you’ll do

• Within your first 7 days, hand off designs to engineering
• Dig into and understand customer problems/feedback
• Collaborate with product and engineering throughout a project (no waterfall here)
• Navigate both the problem and solution space with cofounders, our PM's, and your peers
• Communicate differing opinions and make/facilitate constructive decisions
• Think through the broad user flows for new features
• Generate high fidelity mocks and think through UI/UX
• Build up the design system alongside Wendy , Ben , Natasha and Oliver and engineering partners
• Validate design choices with analytics

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Located in (or will relocate to) San Francisco and excited about working in-person
• Very organized, hard working, and fast
• An interest in tinkering with the product and suggesting improvements

Additional Job details

The base salary range for this position is $170k - $240k annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Pylon. This role is eligible for stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
