Job summary

Pylon, the agentic support platform for B2B, is seeking a design-focused engineer to collaborate with product and engineering. You will craft UI/UX, create high-fidelity mocks, and help build a scalable design system while aligning with analytics to validate decisions.

Based in San Francisco, you will work in-person with a growing team and contribute to a fast-paced product that supports AI-native customer success workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience.
• Located in San Francisco and willing to work in-person.
• Strong organizational skills and fast work mentality.

Responsibilities

• Hand off designs to engineering within 7 days.
• Dig into and understand customer problems/feedback.
• Collaborate with product and engineering throughout a project (no waterfall).
• Navigate problem and solution space with the team and cofounders.
• Communicate differing opinions and facilitate constructive decisions.
• Design broad user flows for new features.
• Generate high fidelity mocks and evolve the design system with the team.
• Validate design choices with analytics.

What you'll do

• Within your first 7 days, hand off designs to engineering
• Dig into and understand customer problems/feedback

• Collaborate with product and engineering throughout a project (no waterfall here)
• Navigate both the problem and solution space with cofounders, our PM's, and your peers
• Communicate differing opinions and make/facilitate constructive decisions
• Think through the broad user flows for new features
• Generate high fidelity mocks and think through UI/UX
• Build up the design system alongside Wendy, Ben, Natasha and Oliver and engineering partners
• Validate design choices with analytics

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Located in (or will relocate to) San Francisco and excited about working in-person
• Very organized, hard working, and fast
• An interest in tinkering with the product and suggesting improvements

Additional Job details

The base salary range for this position is $170k - $240k annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Pylon. This role is eligible for stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
